Athirapally waterfalls is situated in the Thrissur District of Kerala. Kerala is also known as God’s own country. The Chalakudy River which travels through sholayar ranges and drops in Aluva as Athirapally falls is the largest waterfall in Kerala. It is also nicknamed as Niagara of India. The athirapally falls divide into three separate plumes after cascading through rocks.

It has a wide range of forest wildlife which includes bison, sambar, leopard, tiger, Asiatic Elephant, and Lion-tailed Macaque. There are a total of 85 Freshwater species present of which 35 are endemic species.
