Cherai Beach, Kerala
Cherai Beach is located near Kochi in a suburb called Cherai in Kerala, a state in India. The Cherai Beach is known for its low tides and is very famous amongst all the tourist destination sites or beaches in Kerala. It is very well known for the low tides where tourists can spend a pleasant time swimming in the gentle waves or while relaxing at the beach. Since the waves are gentle, tourists love swimming and floating in this type of water flow along with other water sports like para-sailing, jet-skiing, sailing, wakeboard and other water adventure sports. Since the backwaters beside the Cherai Beach is well known for its scenic view and as the sea can also be seen from the backwaters ride, many people book resorts where they get longer time enjoying the view and will help the tourists in taking the best pictures at the best spot. Dolphins are also sighted quite frequently at the Cherai beach, therefore, various boat ride early in the morning are organised every now and then for the tourist. If you are lucky enough you might see a group of dolphin playing around in the sea.
Since the beach is located 25 km away from the Kochi city, only a limited number of people who are staying in the resorts nearby visit this beach. Therefore the crowd at this beach would be less than the crowd on other beaches. It is also cleaner compared to the other beaches in Kochi or nearby beaches. The Cherai beach is also surrounded by end number of palm trees and coconut trees, making it the perfect backdrop for pictures and videos.
