Tajpur Beach, West Bengal

Tajpur beach stands between Shankarpur and Mandarmani, falls mostly in Purba Medinipur. As compared to other beach destinations in West Bengal, Tajpur is relatively less inhabited. Red crabs, being one of the major attractions in Tajpur beach. The red crabs scattered on the beach gives you a visual appearance of a red carpet. Commutation is extremely feasible. If you are travelling from other parts of the country, then the nearest airport will be Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Airport. Upon arrival, you can either take a private car or bus to Tajpur. If you are travelling by train, then you have to board the train from Howrah station and get off at Ramanagar Station. From there the travel to the beach is for 15 minutes.

And if you choose to take the route via car, then you have to take the Vidyasagar Setu followed by the Kona expressway. It is almost a 4 hours journey via car from Kolkata.
