Bharat Mata Temple is one of the most unique places to visit in the town of Haridwar, also known as mother India temple. It has eight floors in total which attract travelers and tourists in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The temple was inaugurated by our late Prime Minister Smt Indira Gandhi in the year 1983.
Every floor of this temple is devoted to showcasing some particular theme. The building of the temple has the features of the statue of Mother India in its first Storey. The second Storey is dedicated to our freedom fighters. Women such as Meera Bai, Savitri, and Maitri had done great work and so the third Storey has been dedicated to them. The fourth Storey represents the features of all saints of Sikhism, Jainism, and Buddhism.
The fifth Storey of the temple is the assembly hall which also represents the existence of all faiths and beliefs followed in the Indian subcontinent. The sixth floor of the temple is devoted to the Goddess of Shakti in Hindu religion. If you wish to see all the incarnations of Lord Vishnu, then you must go upwards on the seventh floor.
The eight Storey is the topmost floor which is made in dedication to Lord Shiva. You can also go to the top floor for enjoying the view of birds in the town of Haridwar. The national park named as Rajaji is also seen from the top floor of the temple. Bharat Mata Temple is indeed one of the most astoundingly beautiful temples in Haridwar. One can go there by train or bus as it is 4.5 km away from the railway station of Haridwar.
