Buddha Smriti Park, Patna, Bihar

The Buddha Smriti Park was developed by means of the Government of Bihar to commemorate the 2554th birthday of Lord Buddha.

It is an urban oasis sprawling throughout a generous area of twenty-two acre. The highlight of the park is Bodhi bushes, planted with the aid of the Dalai Lama, which flank a statue of Lord Buddha.

Also called the Buddha Memorial Park, it is positioned on Frazer Road near Patna Junction, opposite the Mahavir Mandir. Aimed at highlighting the existence and teachings of Lord Buddha, the multi-purpose park contains the Pataliputra Karuna Stupa, meditation middle, a library with numerous books on Buddhism, a museum as well as a Park of Memories.

The 2 hundred-feet-high Pataliputra Karuna Stupa is a round shape this is the maximum outstanding characteristic of the park. It has several entrances and homes a relic of Lord Buddha that is one of the eight original relics excavated from Vaishali, in a glass enclosure. The meditation centre is based totally on the plans of the Nalanda University monasteries. It has 60 cells and you'll view the stunning stupa from each of them. Entry Fees

20 INR per person for park entry, 40 INR per person for Museum, 50 INR per person for Karuna stupa and 200 INR per person for Meditation up to 2 hours.
