Hariyali Devi Temple, Uttarakhand

Hariyali Devi Temple is one of the famed Siddhi Peethas of Uttarakhand. As per the history of Hindus, when Mahamaya conceived the seventh child issue of Devki, then Kansa threw the daughter of Devki ‘Mahamaya’ on the ground where her body parts got spread all over the earth. The part of hand fell at the ground where now the temple of Hariyali Devi is located. Then it was considered as the Siddh Peeth. There are overall 58 Siddh Peeth in the country. Temple of Hariyali Devi is also prayed as Vaishnav Devi and Bala Devi. The houses beside temple within the temple or outside the temple were watched by the idol of goddess Hariyali Devi with her vehicle lion. The houses of the temple comprise of three idols known as Heet Devi, Kshtrapal Devi, and Hariyali Devi. From Hariyali Devi, anyone can see the spread of the semi-lunar range of mountains. Those who visit Hariyali Devi feel like peace in heaven after visiting this by heart. This temple is opened in the morning sunrise and closed on the time of sunset 7 PM.

The Hariyali Devi Temple is very famous in all the religious places which are also named as Vaishno Devi, Sitla Mata, and Bala Devi. It is also popular amongst the tourists' spots for visiting. Every year during the auspicious day of Diwali and Janmashtami, the idol of Goddess is carried 7 km away to Hariyali Kantha. People have trust, faith, and beliefs in the goddess and go there with lots of wishes. This temple is indeed a highly revered one by one and all.
