Havelock Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Havelock Island, officially known as by the name of Swaraj Island is one of the most populated islands of the Andaman & Nicobar Island having a sprawling area of 113 sq.km. It is also amongst one of the largest islands of the Andaman & Nicobar Island.

The island is situated 39 km of the north-east of Port Blair. The Havelock island is encompassed with wonderful sandy beaches and the green canopy of forest. Predominantly focusing and stressing on the aspect of eco-tourism it happens to be one of the most developed islands of the Andaman & Nicobar Island. The marvellous natural beauty together with the stupendous tranquil atmosphere is what make the tourists awestruck and in a way compel them to give numerous visits to the place without being bored.

The Beauty has indeed taken an altogether different and distinct form of manifestation so to speak when you are talking about the Havelock Island. In the east of the island there is the famous Vijaynagar Beach while the gorgeous Radhanagar Beach is situated at its southern coast. Not only one can enjoy all these natural beauty in the Havelock Island but there are also numerous water sports and adventure activities one can try out. Another famous beach of the Havelock Island is the Kalapathar beach.

Havelock being an island the only way to reach the same is via ferries. The Havelock beach is incredibly beautiful and captivating indeed with sublime beaches. It is a traveller’s paradise in every sense and in all respect. There are many to whom the predominant purpose of visiting Andaman is to see the Havelock beach, irrespective of the fact whether they are visiting it for the first time or repeating. Likewise, many would just stay in the Havelock for the entirety of their trip while in Andaman.
