The Huzoor Palace was built by Rana Natwarsinhji. This palace was built in the early 20th century A.D. and now is being maintained by the successors of the Maharaja Rana Natwarsinhji (Private Property).
Huzoor Palace is located in Porbandar, Gujarat (a state in India) and faces the Arabian Sea coast and the Marine drive in the city. Although the palace is prohibited for public viewing, tourists can view the palace ground during Navratri as it is open to the public for paying 'Nazar' or respect to the former kings and queens of the Porbandar Princely state. Many tourists visit the Pornbandar district due to its rich history and due to the fact that the palace is still being by the royal family who are staying in London. Apart from the royal palace, many tourists visit other destination sites present near the vicinity of the district.
The Huzoor palace was built according to the European architecture style where slanting roofs were used as the model and multiple wings were created within the palace. The Backyard and the Front yard were built in such a manner that it faces the Arabic sea coast and the ocean can be seen from the yard. The fountains present in the yards were built with marble and the garden was built to provide a scenic view to the royal family. Huzoor palace is a very good one, although the public viewing tenure of it is highly limited as mentioned above. Still, visiting this place even in the limited opportunity provided is a great experience nevertheless.
