Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh

Kasauli enjoys a moderate kind of climate throughout the year which together with the natural beauty attracts loads of tourists and travelers from all over. Kasauli is known to be a hiker’s heaven. The town being not a very large one by any means or stretch of imagination, most part of it can be covered by foot. The town has a colonial style of architecture for it was developed by the colonial masters, the British Raj, in their hey days.

According to legends, Lord Hanuman from the great Indian mythology Ramayana while searching for herbs to cure the wounds of Lakshman landed his foot on top of this cantonment town of Kasauli and that is how the city came into existence.

With a fantastic picturesque and lush green surrounding of the hills, Kasauli has a quiet atmosphere which is liked by all those travellers and tourists who prefer solitary and seclusion amidst nature and beauty. It is rather a note of astonishment that in spite of its great natural beauty it fails to find a place of prominence as a tourist place. One reason that can be attributed for this is its extremely quiet atmosphere which is probably not the ideal cup of tea for all travellers. For those looking for adventure, fun and thrill would not find any interest at Kasauli although there are a few small attractions within the town to keep the travellers engaged. Kasauli thus is a fantastic tourist spot for spending some good time away from the hustle and bustle of city and indulge in the solitary sereneness of nature and with oneself.
