Khusro Bagh, Uttar Pradesh

Khusro Bagh is a walled garden where the tomb of the Royal Mughal dynasty family lies. Khusro Bagh is a very famous historical site in Uttar Pradesh, a state in India. It is located in Prayagraj, formerly known as Allahabad, near the railway station. Literally named as the 'Walled Garden' in Hindu and being named after the daughter of Maharaja Bhagwant Das – Khusrau Mizra, Khusro Bagh is a burial complex where the tomb of the royal family from the Mughal dynasty is located.

Tomb of Shah Begum, Khusrau Mizra, Jahangir's eldest son and other family members of the royal family, most of them being from Maharaja Bhagwant Das's family, can be found in this burial complex. The Tomb of Nithra is also located in this burial place and is considered as the most famous site across Allahabad.

Khusro Bagh is so famous that is has been marked as a heritage 'Indian site of National Importance', due to which many people from across states and nations come and visit this place. The tombs were built according to the Mughal dynasty architecture and were first built in the early 16th century and new tombs of the royal family were added till the late 17th century. The Tomb of Nithra is known for its unique interiors and designs, even the arch built was considered as the most elegant burial ground in the whole of Uttar Pradesh. Inscriptions and paintings can still be seen on the walls of the tomb where the royal family lies.
