Paigah Tombs, Telangana

The Paigah tombs is witness to many historical events and holds the hearth wrenching stories of the death of the Royal Paigah families and located approx. 4 kilometers away from the Charminar, this place is quite difficult to locate. This tomb is almost 200 hundred years old. As soon as you place your foot through the beautiful arched gateway, you will be headed towards the well-maintained garden. Unlike Charminar and Mecca Masjid, this place is less explored by the tourists. This tomb is also the resting place for most of the family members. The interior of the tombs displays the work of Markana marble. Some say that the interior of this tomb is an imitation of the Taj Mahal. The doors of the Paigah tombs are built of fine mahogany and rosewood.

This place catches the interests of every passersby and tourists with its magnificent tombs made of lime and mortar. The best time to visit is during the afternoon. It is recommended that you spend at least two hours on this place. Photography is allowed in the premises.

The Paigah tomb is a fine portrayal of the Rajputana and Asaf Jah Style of architecture. The intricate designs of the fences implemented in the tomb have beautiful floral designs engraved on it. The major attractions in tomb are the shrines of Asman Jah and Begum Jah. It is said that their tombs once had stones which changed colors based on the changing seasons.
