Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, Tripura

The Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is a kind of Zoo+Garden and Sanctuary is located in Bishalgarh of Sepahijala district, Tripura and about 27 KM from the Agartala city centre.

The Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is covering an area of 18.532 kms. and More than 150+ species of residential birds, migratory birds, orchid garden, boating facilities, wildlife, botanical garden, zoo, elephant joy-rides, rubber and coffee plantation are the main attractions among the tourist. The famous spectacles monkey, this is now a very rare species is found in Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, which itself a joy to watch and also, another rare species of leopards, the clouded leopards found here. The zoo is located in a vast area inside the sanctuary which itself a bigger.

The main attraction of Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is to watch the two animals, spectacles monkey and clouded leopards which are rarely found in any other zoos in India. The Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is the home of Rhesus macaque, Jungle fowl, Pigtailed macaque, Leopard, Capped langur, Slow loris, Barking, Civets, Deer, Wild boar and many more.

Why the charge is so high now I think the e try fee per person is 50rs first then again we have to pay 30/50rs per person....... Why

Sepahijala wildlife sanctuary is a sanctuary as name suggests and also has a zoo and botanical garden to be visited by tourist. The Spectacle monkey also known as Phayre’s Leaf Monkey or Dusky Leaf Monkey and In India its found in deep forest area of Tripura, Mizoram and Assam the north eastern states.
