Albert Hall Museum Jaipur, Rajasthan
Albert Hall Museum is located in Jaipur, the capital of the state Rajasthan. This museum was named after Victoria and Albert Museum of London when Prince of Wales visited Jaipur. This museum contains the collections from the Delhi Sultanate Dynasty, Gupta Dynasty, and Mughal Dynasty along with other artefacts from the Indian dynasties. Sculptures, artefacts and other remains for the British period can also be found in this museum. The main attraction of Albert Hall Museum is the Egyptian Mummy. This Mummy was transported directly from Egypt and has been properly maintained ever since.
This museum was designed according to the Indo-Saracenic Architecture, by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob and by Mir Tujumool Hoosein in the year 1876 and was completed in the year 1887. This museum is also considered as the Government Central Museum and the Government of the state Rajasthan are maintaining the Museum along with the artefacts. Exquisite and antique jewellery, paintings, sculptures, stones like marble, ivory, crystal and more can also be found in this museum. Sculptures of various gods and goddesses of the Indian religion along with other religions are also situated in this museum. The towers and the walls of the museum allow you to enjoy the beauty of the wall murals painted in various techniques like the walls are portraying a story on its own.
