Chivla Beach is an offbeat destination in the Malvan region of Maharashtra. This peaceful beach is thronged by couples and other tourists in the full moon night for a leisurely nocturnal walk. In order to fascinate tourists, adventure activities are organised here. The scrumptious sea food available in the local shacks on the Chivla beach is an added attraction.

It is advisable to get a glimpse of sunrise and sunset for an amazing experience. The clean beach stretches for 1.5 kilometres. The fishermen community lives by the side of the Chivla beach. One can see rows of fishermen returning from their morning venture early in the morning and in the evening. A small auction is held to sell the day’s catch to the highest bidder. The best time to visit the Chivla beach is during December to January when the skies remain clear and many colour shades can be viewed at the time of sunset. Tourists may avail the opportunity to kick start their adrenaline rush by participating in the adventure activities. Snorkeling, diving, water skiing and swimming can be done at this place. Those who are not interested in adventure activities can stick to bird watching or may go for a boat ride to see colourful fishes in the sea.

There are good numbers of other tourist attractions near the Chivla Beach. Sindhudurg fort and Padmagarh fort are some of the historical monuments close to beach. Temples like Jay Ganesh temple, Bhagwati temple, Bharadi Devi Angnewadi temple are also worth to visit. The Chivla beach is truly makes for a wonderful and a majestic viewing.
