Damodar Kund is a sacred lake located in the Girnar hills of Junagadh in Gujarat, where many devotees of Hindu religion bathe in the water to purify themselves. It is said that the people who bathe in the water of the lake can wash away their sins and will be able to start over in their life.

According to Hindu mythology, the Damodar Kund water is also used to immerse the ashes of a person who has passed away in order to send them to heaven. This process helps the person reach heave and reborn as a person who will lead a good life.

The Damodar Hari Temple at Damodar Kund is also present within the vicinity; this temple is dedicated to Lord Vajranabha who was the grandson of Lord Krishna. Therefore before offering the prayers to Lord Vajranabha, devotees tend to bathe in the sacred water of Damodar Kund and then visit the Damodar Hari Temple located beside the bank.

Damodar Kund is now a lake which is being protected by the State Government of Gujarat where the lake is being used as a dam reservoir. As many devotees visit the temple every year, a variety of amenities were built by the government for the tourists visiting the nearby area. Amenities like toilets, eating stalls, changing rooms and more were built by the government for the public's ease. Hence, Damodar Kund is considered as a part of the Pilgrimage tours. Damodar Kund is a sacred lake that should be added to the list of pilgrimage places to visit in Gujarat.
