Kandoliya Temple, Uttarakhand

Kandoliya Devta Mandir is the temple of Lord Shiva. The place is in a scenic setting, peaceful and will give you a wonderful view of the mountains and the Pauri city. The Kandoliya temple is situated at the top of a hill in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Lord Shiva is worshipped here by the name of Kandolia Thakur.

The ancient Kandoliya Temple is a massively respected religious site in the region, as it is dedicated to the local deity of the people of the place, Kandoliya Devta. The temple is based around the dense forest having tall trees of pine. It is indeed a cool, quiet & beautiful place. You can have a panoramic view of Pauri.

The place is really very peaceful and beautiful. It is 3-4 km away from the main station but it is undoubtedly a great place to come and visit time and again because this place always have a fresh air for the lion’s share of it is covered by trees. It also has a very good view of Himalaya mountain range. The Kandoliya temple is definitely not to be missed if you are touring Uttarakhand.
