Pauri Garhwal Tourism

Situated at the heart of Uttarakhand, Pauri Garhwal is one of the famous locations of the Garhwal district known for its beautiful landscapes. It is situated near various steep mountain ranges covered by dense forests. This hill station is also the administrative headquarters of the district making it quite developed than the others near its vicinity. It can be reached from Dehradun which is 133 kilometres away from it.

Pauri is surrounded by various tourist attractions especially the snow-capped Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Sumeru, Kedarnath, Bander Puchh, etc. and can be viewed perfectly from the town during clear weather. The town is most famous for the beautiful sunset it experiences, which dyes the entire area with a deep orange hue. It is a must-see phenomenon if one is travelling around the area. It is also an important pilgrimage site as numerous devotees visit the Danda Nagaraja, Nag Dev, Kandoliya and other temples in the town. As natural beauty is in abundance in its surroundings, exploring the dense coniferous forests and streams are quite thrilling. It is also a haven for trekkers as various expeditions like the Binsar Mahadev Trek, Tara Kund Trek and Dudhatoli trek are organized throughout the year.
