Khodiyar Mata Mandir is located in Bhavnagar in the Indian state of Gujarat and temple is built by the king of Bhavnagar state in the year of 1911. The Khodiyar Mandir’s architecture and surrounding area impart a feeling of holiness and divinity. The area is kept clean and helps in imparting positive vibes. Devotees usually offer lapse to the main shrine. Most of the donated lapse is made into prasad which is given to the devotees. The Khodiyar temple is open between 4 AM and 10 PM, and the main aarti is held during the early hours of dawn. However, on Purnima, a special aarti is performed during the mornings and evenings. The Khodiyar temple has 2 Dharamshala, in which the devotees can relax and get closer to the Holy Spirit. The residential complex offers both AC and non AC rooms.
The pond has many shops around it, so devotees can buy puja samagri for the temple. The pond also has a ropeway, which can be used by the tourists to get an aerial view of the temple and the lake. The shops also offer various other items and souvenirs of the temple, which add a nice personal touch to the temple’s aura. A few crocodiles can be seen in the lake, which is believed to be the Goddess's mount.
