Majorda Beach, Goa

Majorda Beach is located only at a distance of 5 km from the Colva beach in Goa, a state in India. The Majorda beach is known for the turquoise colour water which is very photogenic in nature. Light blue sky with white clouds and yellowish brown beach sand makes the beach even more mesmerising. The Majorda beach is also known for being the most active beach in the whole state of Goa as many late night parties, Goan themed restaurants, water sports and shopping centres are located around this beach.

The seafood at Majorda beach is prepared according to the Goan recipe with the Goan spices and visiting these restaurants will be a worthwhile experience. Water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, water skiing, wake boarding, surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, scuba diving, canoeing and many other water sports are organised at this beach and the list goes on.

Basilica of Bom Jesus church is located next to the beach and people from various cities and countries come to visit this church, as the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier is being kept and protected in this church. Basilica of Bom Jesus church is also known for the architecture which is in baroque style. The Majorda beach is also surrounded by other churches like Monte Hill Chapel which was built in the 16th century, Grace Church which organises a feast in the month of February every year and Church of Our Lady of Mercy which was built dedicating to Menino Jesus and is known for curing diseases.
