Naukuchiatal is a hill station surrounded with greenery in the district of Nainital in Uttarakhand, a state in India. The name of the city – Naukuchia Taal means 'The Nine corners of a Lake'; the main lake located within the Naukuchiatal city is known for being mysterious and legendary amongst the locals. According to the legend, it is said that the lake was created by the Lord Brahma himself, there is a small temple located within the vicinity of the Naukuchiatal Lake which is dedicated to Lord Brahma. It is also said that the person who can see all the 9 corners of the lake while standing on the corner of the lake will be able to seek nirvana while being blessed by the Lord Brahma himself. This legend is very famous amongst the locals of the Nainital district.

Naukuchiatal is also known for being one of the best hill stations as it is located within the Nainital district. Since this part of the district is less crowded than the main city like Nainital, families are able to enjoy their time with peaceful nature, where only the sound of the breeze and nature can be heard. Naukuchiatal is surrounded with heavy vegetation where you will be able to view trees throughout the city, therefore, throughout the time you spend in Naukuchiatal you will feel like you are walking through a forest. Many adventure sports activity like trekking, river rafting, paragliding and more are also organised in the city.
