New Vishwanath Temple, Uttar Pradesh

Shri Vishwanath Mandir or simply called New Vishwanath Temple happens to be one of the top most tourist attractions in the city of Varanasi, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is also known by the name of Birla Temple and New Vishwanath Temple. The location of the temple is in Benaras Hindu University. This very temple has got the tallest temple tower in the whole world. The temple is a totally secular one in that people of any and every faith, cast, creed and religious belief are allowed to get into the temple. The other temples within the main temple are Mata Parvati, Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, Nataraj, Nandi and Saraswati. The full text of the holy Bhagavad Gita from the great Indian epic Mahabharata and that of extracts from holy Hindu scriptures are there inscribed within the inner temple marble walls. The New Vishwanath Temple is surely a not to be missing spot for anyone visiting the holy city of Varanasi.
