Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple, Uttarakhand

Rudreshwar Mahadev Temple happens to be one of the most ancient temples of the beautiful state of Uttarakhand, India. It is located in Chaukhutia of the Almora district. The distance between Chaukhutia and the temple place is about only 21km. The Rudreshwar Mahadev temple is located on the banks of Ganga, the Ganga being called Ram Ganga here for it is believed that the great Lord Rama once visited the place and worshipped Lord Shiva in this temple. A fabulous view of the Ram Ganga can be observed from the temple hall.

This famous temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered to be one of the most sacred and oldest temples of Lord Shiva. THIS TEMPLE IS VERY ANCIENT AND CONSIDERED AS SWAYAMBHU TEMPLE OF PARAMESWARA BHAGAWAN. IT SEEMS DUE TO LACK OF RECOGNITION AND PUBLICITY IT HAS NOT BECOME FAMILIAR.
