Sagareshwar Beach has one of the best shorelines in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. The magnificent Sagareshwar Beach has a coastline extending to 3 kms. This offbeat destination can be a place to spend some days in complete tranquillity and solitude. Away from the hassle of commercialisation, the place gives a fascinating view of the nature. Like all other beaches, the views of the sunrise and the sunset at this beach are delightful for the onlookers. It lies towards the south of Vengurla beach. To reach Sagareshwar Beach, one needs to drive on the road to Shiroda from Vengurla and turn towards right at Ubhadanda. The gleaming white sandy dunes can be seen even from a distance. By walking for a short distance and climbing the sand dunes, one will be at the captivating sandy stretch of Sagareshwar Beach. It is around 4 kms from Vengurla.

The place can be accessed by trekking for few minutes as the roads do not extend till the beach. A small temple of Sagareshwara which literally means Lord of the sea is located on the beach. The beach derived its name from the temple. Innumerable small crabs can be seen on the shoreline throughout the day. This secluded beach is good for a peaceful stay. It is ideal for swimming except during the monsoon as the sea remains rough and risk of high tides are there. The most preferable time to visit the place is during the winter, that is, from November to February. Unlike the scorching heat in the summer days, winters have pleasant weather and soothing temperature.
