Varca Beach

Located to the south of the state on the coast of Arabian Sea, is the long beach of Varca. It is a very long tourism beach spreading over the land for a stretch of about 10 KM welcoming the blue Arabian Sea like a caressing lover.

The Varca beach is truly a natural marvel and a place of natural beauty. The blue calm waves meet with the glittering sands of the beach to mesmerise the eyes. The beach is filled with lava rocks of black colour, that beautifies the Varca beach more and the extended ledges of the rocks on the shore & over the sea makes them the perfect spots for water activities and fishing. This may very well be the reason why most of the Varca region is the base of local community of fishermen in Goa. The glamour of the Varca beach further increases with the scene of the green forest back drop lined by the house of the fishing community and the array of wooden boats, mostly fishing dingy, lined up on the beach.

For tourist the Varca beach is a destination to enjoy life and the nature. The Varca beach area has all the prerequisite amenities and facilities of a hot tourism destination. The Varca beach can be reached from nearest rail station of Margao City, by road from nearest Colvo city and so on. There are many hotels in the areas ranging from economic to high end. The local seaside food and delicacies in the beach shacks is very mouth-watering and a tourist magnet. The activities tourists engage in Varca beach are water adventure spots and beach leisure activities. The night life of Varca beach is very vibrant with all the parties going on after the sun down. For an escape from a daily stress Varca is a beach to visit for all.
