Chhattisgarh is one of the new states of Indian democracy. The state of Chhattisgarh was formed out of the eastern part of the Madhya Pradesh adjacent to Jharkhand and Odisha. The state of Chhattisgarh has a very adventurous topography. A part of the Chhotanagpur plateau and the regions of forested Madhya Pradesh make up the major part of Chhattisgarh with a tinge of barren Deccan region & riverine land to the southern parts of the state. The state of Chhattisgarh is a biodiversity are with a lot of natural habitats. One other feature of Chhattisgarh is that it has a wide industrial belt. People from all over India come to visit different parts of Chhattisgarh to enjoy the harmonious blend of the natural and the artificial. There are many water falls, hot springs, caves, temples, dams, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. The most of the places are untouched and unexplored and offer a unique and alternate experience to tourists.

There are many notable places in Chhattisgarh and many cities such as Raipur, Bilaspur, Rajgarh, Bijapur etc which are the main tourist hub of this state. The temples of Chhattisgarh are quite famous such as the Danteshwari Temple of Dantewada or the Bhambaleshwari of Dongargarh. Other than temples, waterfalls of Jagdalpur - the Chitrokote, the caves of Ramgarh, Dandak Caves, Indrvati & Kanger Ghati National Parks and so on are other notable places to visit in the landlocked sate of Chhattisgarh.
