The state of Haryana has been formed on 1st November 1996 and is situated in the northern India. The beautiful city of Chandigarh stands as its capital with the city of Faridabad having the highest population within the state. Chandigarh is a fantastically planned city having renowned architecture and offering life of the very highest quality. There is no denying the fact that the city of Chandigarh is the main attraction of the state of Haryana with its prosperous outlook and cosmopolitan nature where travellers and tourists can have a gem of a time. Hindi is the principal language of the state of Haryana. The Kurukshetra and the Surajkund serves as the most popular attraction in Haryana. The Kurukshetra is the battle ground between the Pandavas and the Kauravas.

Haryana boasts of a proud history dating back to as old as the Vedic Age. This state was the home of the great Bharat dynasty from where India has got its name (Bharata). In actuality, Chandigarh is officially a union territory which is controlled by the central government and is the joint capital of the states of Haryana and Punjab. As far as the culture of the state is concerned, it has a unique one in this regard with the state having its own folk dance, folk music and the likes. Haryana is only next to Punjab when it comes to the number of Sikh population in the country.

Haryana has an excellent road network and rail network that links all the places in Haryana and from the places outside the state. Major airport is "Chandigarh airport", it well conntected all major cites in India as well as internation.
