Fugdi Folk Dance

Fugdi is Goa's folk dance is performed by Konkan ladies during Hindu religious holidays such as Ganesh Chaturthi and Vrata, or after other dances such as Dhalo. This dancing form is supposed to have evolved from a few ancient Goan customs, according to historical data.

Dekhni Folk Dance

Dekhni is a Goan semi-classical. The song's central premise concerns two dancers who wish to be ferried across the river but the boatman denies their request. It ends with the happy ending the girls eventually dancing to persuade the boatmen to transport them across.

Dhalo Ritual Folk Dance

Dhalo Ritual Dance is performed in the Indian state of Goa. The uniqueness of this dance is that it is performed by females as an obeisance to God for the safety of their families. It is often performed during the beginning of the winter season.
