Namchi Tourism

Namchi is located in Sikkim state. Its literal meaning is the sky. The place is highly visited by tourists and devotees all around the world. The important pilgrimage centers are Ralang Monastery and Namchi Monastery.

The statue of the patron saint, guru Rinpoche is situated on the Samdruptse hill. It is also called the wish-fulfilling hill. The statue is about 118 feet high and the monks offer prayers on this hill. A rock garden is located near the Namchi town. It has a ropeway to the Samdruptse hill. The journey of the ropeway is full of the panoramic view of mountains and rivers. Even the third highest mountain called Mt. Kangchenjunga can be viewed while on the ropeway. Major four dhams find replicated here and it is a nice place. Temi Tea Garden is the only tea estate that you can visit in Namchi. It produces world-class tea which is exported. A flower show is organized in the month of February. The plant lovers should visit this largest flower exhibition which displays the most exotic varieties of orchids. A football stadium named the Bhaichung Stadium is the main highlight of this place. The stadium holds tournaments for football every year.
