Pelling Tourism

Pelling is located in Sikkim. It is a hill town which is about 131 km from Gangtok. The place has recently become a favorite tourist destination. So, the roadways are mended and many good hotels are being set up. Waterfalls and rock gardens are a must visit in this small town. Sewaro Rock Garden is a complete scenic experience with rocks, pools and manicured gardens. The Kanchenjunga Falls are beautiful waterfalls that are active for the almost a complete year.

There are local monasteries which are a worship place for Buddhists. The Pemayangtse Buddhist monastery, founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo is a three-storeyed structure. There is a gold-plated statue of Guru Padmasambhava situated inside. It has wall paintings also. Sanga Choeling Monastery is the oldest of all the monasteries. A transparent Pelling Sky Walk is opened in November 2018. It is made of glass and leads to the Chenrezig Statue. This 137 feet statue is an attraction which indeed caused a very significant footfall to this city. Khecheopalri Lake is a sacred lake that is believed to be taken care of by the birds. The leaves are picked up by them as soon as they drop into the lake surface.
