Una Tourism

Una is a district in the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It has a semi hilly terrain with low hills. Una has developed to be an industrial hub in Himachal Pradesh due to its close proximity to Punjab. This place has been mentioned in the mythological scripts as well as historical texts. Una has many religious sites of different religions. The temple of Mata Chintpurni Ji at the Chintpurni village is a prominent pilgrim site in this district. Chintpurni fair is held thrice a year near the temple premises which attracts huge crowd of devotees. The devotees who come to visit the temple also visit the priory of Dharamshala Mahanta to pay their homage. Shiva Bari is situated near Gagret on the bank of River Swan. It is a popular Shiva shrine in this area.

The shrine of Dera Baba Gurbarbhag Singh and Dera Baba Rudranatha are also popular religious sites and are visited by many. Each of these shrines has their own interesting legends of how it was established. The shrines of Pir Nigaha at Basoli village and Dhyunsar Mahadev Temple in Bali village are other remarkable pilgrimage in this district. Una is easily accessible by roads and trains.
