Odisha is the one of the legendary land on this earth that covers the country of India. The name Odisha is given to the state of India located on the eastern part of the peninsular India. The state of Odisha is bounded by the Bay of Bengal to its east, the state of Andhra Pradesh to its south, Chhattisgarh to its west and Jharkhand & West Bengal to its north. The importance of the state is very huge. It is the ancient Kalinga kingdom that gave rise to the fame of King Asoka and the growth of Indian civilization into the modern era. Mythologically, it is also very important because of the present of Jagannath Dham Temple, one of the four cornerstones of Hindu pilgrimage.

The tourism of Odisha is mostly built on religious places and natural exotica. The Puri beach is a famous tourist spot having the temple of Jagannath. Other places are Paradip, Chilka Lagoon and Konark beach. The Sun Temple of Konark is an archaeological heritage site. Apart from these the Udaygiri & Khandagiri rock cut caves, the Nandankanan zoological garden, the Dhaulagiri monastery and the cities of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack are very popular for tourist attractions. The state of Odisha is very well reached and accessible.
